Eight Pillars of Prosperity is a life changing book by James Allen. Through this book, he explains his belief that the moral virtues are the foundation and support of prosperity. Without them there is neither strength and stability, nor substantial reality, but only ephemeral dreams. The prosperity is supported by the following eight pillars which are cemented in a foundation of moral consistency: Energy, Economy, Integrity, System, Sympathy, Sincerity, Impartiality, and Self-reliance. These eight pillars, in greater or lesser degree, are the causative factors in all success of whatsoever kind. James Allen (28 November 1864 – 24 January 1912) was a British philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry and a pioneer of the self-help movement. Best known for As a Man Thinketh, he authored many other books including The Way of Peace, The Mastery of Destiny, and Entering the Kingdom.
